Hello,

I have been getting this BSoD for awhile now and have tried clean installs and with no success. The clean install (with COMPLETE disk reformat) seemed to have fixed the issue temp. Hey there. Welcome.

Copy the files in C:\Windows\Minidump to any other folder then zip them and attach the zip to a post. I'll see what's good for ya.

There should be 5 files attached thank you!

There's only one driver you have that I don't like. It's an older NVIDIA nForce network firewall driver.

There actually is no normal way you can update it. So you'll have to do this.

Download from this link then run it so it extracts to C:\NVIDIA

Close the installer after it extracts.

Then go inside the folder to the ethernet or lan folder and copy nvm62x64.sys and paste it over the existing one at C:\Windows\System32\drivers then reboot.

NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.49 WHQL

nvm62x64 nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008

----------

If you have more crashes, please post them. Then also, download and run CPU-Z. Attach a screenshot each of the memory and spd tabs.

You can also update you video card driver:

Oh hey ya. I found another driver that must be removed and is a known issue:

pcouffin pcouffin.sys Tue Dec 05 09:39:30 2006

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and delete it. Reboot.

ok i removed pcouffin.sys driver and rebooted...i have not had time to update the Nvidia driver yet...is there anyway to be rid of that driver?? since it is most likely for the on board video that i am not using currently?? If not i will have to update it the way you said above..

Please simply follow my instructions. The driver is for your network to work, not video.

Also, keep us updated on how it's going and post new crashes, if any. Should be solved once you update the NVIDIA network driver, if not already.

ok thank you very much i will update tonight... i was going to remote connect into it today but i believe it may have crashed at some point during the night so i will have to wait...i will post back tonight once it is completed and with the results!! thanks again for your speedy responses and hopefully the fix to my issue thank you again!!

i have tried 3 times extracting the files to C:/NVIDIA...and i keep getting an error that the file is corrupt...i have downloaded it 3 times as well with the same results...any ideas?

also i just got a notification that a 32bit uninstaller is running on a 64 bit system...as an error after i gave it one last shot and worked...is this ok???.or is that the reason for me manually putting the driver in the system32 folder

I haven't any idea where you got any 32 bit uninstaller or software or what's going on. I posted the 64 bit link.

If you downloaded, extracted, then copied the file I mentioned to overwrite the original in the driver folder, that's all good and fine now.

CHeck the driver date in the device manager under network adapters section. Look at NVIDIA properties then driver tab. If it is 2009 or 2010, it's good. (Make sure you have rebooted already before checking.)

How has the machine been lately? Any crashes?

Driver Date says 10/17/2008 after reboot... crashed before i rebooted here are the mini dump files

in device manager i accidently clicked "update driver" for the nforce driver (its getting late) and it chaged the date from 10/17/2008 to 8/12/2010 after it installed?...is this ok? or do i need to re replace the .sys file

That's good. Leave it as is and hope for the best.

If you have any more crashes, post a screen shot of CPU-Z spd and memory tabs.
