Hi there.
I'm having a major issue regarding my video card and the BSOD.
I was experiencing issues with the video drivers and I was getting error warnings. So I decided to restart my PC and this is when I got my first BSOD nvlddmkm.sys error. After much searching on the internet I tried to find the best solution and troubleshoot as much as I could.
These are the things that I have down so far to try and fix the issue.
1. I have unseated the GTX and replaced it.
2. booted into safe mode, uninstalled driversLink Removed and ran driver sweeper.
3. rolled back to previous drivers (Nvidia)
4. renamed the nvlddmkm.sys file to nvlddmkm.sys.old and expanded the nvlddmkm.sy from the C:/Nvidia folder
I reseted my BIOS to default values, still nothing.
2x6 pin power leads from PSU are correctly seated in Graphics card and 2 green lights indicate there is power getting to it and both fans are running.
I'll tried the system restore and the problem still persists.
Nothing has been altered in regards to overclocking, everything is stock value.
I also have a old GTX 560 SE Card and i tried that in the Mobo and still no
When I boot into safe mode and install the drivers the GTX is visible in my device manager folder, so I would assume that the card is working and this is indeed a driver issue. When I log onto the nvidia site the site will detech my graphics card.
I finally carried out a full clean installation and installed the necessary drivers for my motherboard. Installed the latest nvidiva drivers, rebooted and I still get the BSOD.
My specs are
Asus P6X58D-E motherboard
G7 780w PSU (this is a week old)
8GB RAM
INTEL i7 3.06
ASUS GTX 660 TI (this is 2 weeks old)
Windows 7 SP1
As you can see I've done quite a lot to try and fix this issue and I'm now completely exasperated by it all. I hoping that some one has had the same issue as me and have successfully fixed this issue. I'm getting no luck from the nvidiva forums.
I've uploaded as much information as possible and zipped it.
