like a person buys the Windows 8 laptop and user doesn't like the OS cuz it takes a long time to navigate to complete tasks. They can just buy the original windows 7 disk that comes with the COA key. they can format the hard drive and activate Windows with the key that came with the disk. I mean it is possible as long as you have a Windows CD and the COA Key you bought originally. if a person removes windows 8 and installs Windows 7 will they like loose features or something?

Solution
Yes the person in this scenario is legally fine however the computer may lose some functionality if the motherboard doesn't have signed windows 7 drivers… have a look online before making any drastic changes.

p.s. a windows 7 | windows 8 dual boot is also an option and the machine already has an 8 key by the sound of things so there is no extra real cost invoked.
