Windows 8 can i delete the hidden $WINDOWS.~BT folder?

can i delete this thing? is it just all the Win7 crap left over? its a good 7 gb. just wondering. i hate having clutter and bloat.
 


Solution
Those are log files created by Windows that should contain the update files which caused the upgrade failure.
I would suggest looking in to them first to see which update/s failed to possibly fix/correct it, after which, you can safely delete it.

The Windows.old can also be deleted once your system is running smooth with no issues, but I would suggest either running a System Restore Point or backing up the entire system before deleting it.
