Can I downgrade from Windows 7 to XP?

QI bought an MSI U90 laptop last year that came with Windows XP pre-installed, but I recently installed Windows 7 on it. I have now decided that I want to revert back to Windows XP, but I get the error message: ‘The Windows version you are trying to install is older. Setup cannot continue’.
