I'm on a Windows 10 high end laptop. I have the C drive and also D, E and G drives. G drive is a USB 2TB Seagate.
Is it possible for me to install a Linux distribution on the G drive (or the D drive) and run this instead of the Windows 10 installation?

Yes you can have a dual or triple boot system. It can be a bit more complex to troubleshoot when something breaks. Your other option would be to use a hyper visor and run Linux as a VM. This will minimize issues

Hyper visors include: Hyper-V(built-into windows), VirtualBox, VMware, Proxmox, KVM

Thanks very much. Appreciated. I’ll have a look at Hyper-V and get to grips. Much appreciated
