Windows 7 Cannot download CD contents

I have a CD of a video editing software.When I want to download it into my hard drive I get a message that I don't have permission-"please log in as adminstrator".This is my laptop and there is no adminstrator.How do I set adminstrator permission.I have upgraded from Vista home premium to Windows 7.Thanks
