Windows 7 Can't connect - Realtek problem

Hi there, I've just installed Windows7 and can't connect to the internet.

the issues found are:

"The Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) adaptor is experiencing driver or hardware related problems"

"The "Local Area Connection" adaptor is experiencing problems."

My lights on the modem are all fine, and it was working on Vista just before I installed Windows7.

Any help for a non-techie would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks Drew, I gave that a go...no success. I downloaded the latest drivers and when I went to install these, it said that the drivers were fully up to date.

After I reboot it tries to automatically reinstall the drivers, but it can't do this successfully.

mmm, any other suggestions?

Cheers

All sorted, just downloaded the new Win7 drivers from the Realtek web site.

I initially downloaded just the driver itself and tried to update it - that didn't work.
But when I downloaded and executed the self installing file that did the trick.

Please give us a link to those drivers.
I just spent the past 1/2 hour looking for Realtek 8111/8168 LAN for gigabit.
I'm using a Gigabyte UD3p45 motherboard and the drivers on the install disk won't work on W7.
Thanks.
J
