I'm trying to play blu-rays on my laptop, which has a blu-ray drive, but it won't work. I've tried 20 Million Miles To Earth and it just gives me error messages. I tried VLC, even updating to the latest version, and VLC won't play the blu-ray, either. I first tried my default player, Cyberlink PowerDVD. PowerDVD plays dvds just fine. It WILL play blu-rays...but seemingly only really old blu-rays. I tried a copy of 3:10 To Yuma and it played perfectly. I've spent a couple of days trying to figure this out and can't come up with anything.

Is my computer just too old to play recent blu-rays ?

What other disc software do you gave installed? I'd be unistalling anything thats not powerdvd, then device manager to uninstall the dvd drive and then reboot so it's picked up again and then try playing one again
I use power DVD and it plays even newer Blu-ray discs

I just downloaded PowerDVD 18 and it doesn't work. It keeps giving me an error "no disc in drive E"
