Windows Vista Can't read pdf files

To read pdf files, I have to save them first and then open using Adobe. Loading and reading no longer happens automatically and I suspect the problem has arisen since installing Service Pack 1.

Are you using the latest version? See the multimedia section for an update if not.

You could also try re-installing the utility

(Adobe Reader 9.1) designed for PDF portable with security enhancements like encryption. I'll bet without the update you can't read the encryption....Adobe Reader 9.1 LATEST VERSION

The version of Adobe has just been downloaded and is, I assume, the latest version
