To determine the length or duration of audio content on your old CDs on your PC, you can use media player software that can analyze and display this information. Here's how you can do it using two popular media players: VLC Media Player and Windows Media Player.

Using VLC Media Player:

  1. Download VLC if you don't have it installed already.
  2. Open VLC and go to Media > Convert / Save.
  3. Insert the CD that you want to check.
  4. Click the Disc tab, select Audio CD, and hit Convert/Save.
  5. Choose your output profile and click Start.
  6. Once the CD is ripped, it should show you the duration of each track.

    Using Windows Media Player:

  8. Insert the CD that you want to check.
  9. The CD tracks should appear in the library with track duration information.

    Alternate Method:

  10. Insert the CD into your PC.
  11. Open File Explorer and navigate to your CD drive.
  12. Right-click on the audio track you want to check and select Properties.
  13. Go to the Details tab to view the file properties, including duration. These methods work well for viewing track durations for CDs on your PC. If you need more advanced features or a dedicated tool for managing your music collection, you might consider specialized music cataloging software like MusicBee, MediaMonkey, or Helium Music Manager, which can provide more comprehensive information about your music library.
