I just built a new computer today and istalled windows 7 , hooked it up to my 24 inch monitor and was suprised to see a good portion of the native resolution not showing up leaving me seeing only a portion of the desktop ( no start bar or icons, just the clock and cpu meter in side bar ) I tried changing resolution a few times, a couple times the screen went blank ( blue ) and after a few seconds fixed itself, and then one time it didnt fix itself.
I went on to my laptop and realized there is a issue with windows 7 and native 1920x 1080 resolutions... so I booted my new computer into safe mode to change the resolution so I can get out of blank screen.. but I cant change resolution in safe mode, so how do I change the resolution so that when I boot it I dont get a blank screen . I could just reformat but there should be a simpler way...
