I have a Dell xps 8700 pc with Windows 10 installed. I cloned my new wd hdd from a ssd card. In the bios under UEFI boot the hdd does not show up in the boot order, but does show up in the Legacy boot order. I played around for a few hours with this but to no avail. Any help to get it to boot up from my new hdd would be much apprieciated. Thanks
Easy way is unplug the hdd and then boot windows, then shutdown replug the hdd, it should then continue booting from the ssd. I'd then wipe the hdd and use for storage.
The ssd is the c: & the cloned hdd is h: so how do you know which one it boots off. Is it better for it to boot from the ssd & use the hdd as storage or vice versa. So many conflicting arguments on this. I did a bios update, it was 4 years old. This is what shows up on the updated bios. Is there any thing I should change in the bios. I would like to thank everyone for there help. Much appreciated.

I figured out how to boot from either the hdd or ssd. I went into my bios to Boot then to Hard Disk drives & disabled one of them. That gave me the option to choose the hdd or the add. My question is: Which one would be better to boot from the ssd or hdd, there are so many different arguments over this. I would like to thank everyone for their input.

I switched the boot back to the sdd , it is a much faster boot & programs run faster. I would like to thank people for their help. Very much appreciated.
