The Cobb Tuning AccessPORT Map Manger does not work in Windows 7.
I had to setup Virtual Machine XP (XP running in a window).
and run the map manager from there.
Virtual Machine is only available in Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate.

The program runs fine, but it does not find my serial ports.
Therefore I cannot connect to the AP.
In XP mode it found my serial ports.

I am using Win7 x64 Pro.

  • Right-click Compatibility: Right-click on the Cobb Tuning AccessPORT Map Manager executable, go to Properties, and try running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
  • Run as Administrator: Additionally, try running the program as an administrator to see if that resolves the issue.

    3. Check Serial Ports:

  • Device Manager: Make sure that the serial ports are properly recognized and configured in the Device Manager of Windows 7.
  • Driver Updates: Update the drivers for the serial ports in Windows 7 to ensure they are functioning correctly.

    4. Alternative Connectivity:

  • USB: If possible, consider using a USB connection instead of serial ports if the Cobb Tuning AccessPORT supports it.
  • Virtual Serial Port Emulators: You can also explore using virtual serial port emulators to create virtual COM ports that may help in establishing the connection.

    5. Software Updates:

  • Check for any software updates or patches provided by Cobb Tuning that might address compatibility issues with Windows 7 x64. Given the age of Windows 7, it's possible that some newer hardware or software may not have full compatibility without additional configuration. If you continue to experience issues, consider reaching out to Cobb Tuning for specific guidance on Windows 7 x64 compatibility or any available workarounds they may suggest.
