I have a very malicious virus and I want to factory reset my computer. Currently I do not have any system restore points nor do I have a hard copy of my windows 7 os. Is there a way to do this through command prompt because that is basically my only option short of going to the store and buying windows 8.

Do you still have the factory recovery partition named D? Did you make your recovery disk with the original OS?

If you have your Recovery Partition intact, here is the list of "key combination" to do Factory Reset based on the make of your computer.

Otherwise, you will have to contact your computer manufacturer and ask for a set of Recovery Disks. The cost of the set is minimal but it is money well spent.

Solution
You should be able to boot into the recovery partition on your hard drive depending on the make and model of your pc. You should then be able to burn a set of recovery disks to guard against future recovery problems. Let us know if, after checking out the link from davidhk, you are unable to boot your pc into recovery mode.
