Hi, I have a problem where my custom win 7 computer won't sleep. The PC will wake 5 seconds later after i push sleep..

No devices are showing up as armed in the CMD with powercfg. When i go to last wake it shows nothing. I have disabled all settings like media sharing and in device manger. If you have any tips please let me know thanks.

Does the Powercfg -energy report show any problems. You will have to copy the .html file to your desktop to read.

Does Powercfg -requests list anything.

You say the Powercfg -lastwake is not showing anything, but make sure you run it just after the system wakes up.

Are you moving the mouse or keyboard after putting it to sleep? It might only take some type of vibration to cause an input.

Do you have the Network adapter set to wake the system up?

It says wake count 0, and i do not touch anything. Also the Ethernet adapter is set to off for waking system. Here is the report.

Platform Power Management Capabilities:Supported Sleep States
Sleep states allow the computer to enter low-power modes after a period of inactivity. The S3 sleep state is the default sleep state for Windows platforms. The S3 sleep state consumes only enough power to preserve memory contents and allow the computer to resume working quickly. Very few platforms support the S1 or S2 Sleep states.

The only thing I see that might be involved is the Wireless Adapter is not set to use low power states. Not even sure if this is incorrect, but you might check to see if it is set to allow the system to put it to sleep.

The setting is for "Plugged In", so does it make any difference if the system is plugged in or not?
