WE have a number of Clients using Novell NetWare and they remote into their system using RDP. Using XP or Vista no problem but with W7 it refuses to let us login if NetWare is the primary login which in their case is necessary in order for all the NetWare volume to be mapped first. any suggestions?

When dealing with Novell NetWare and Windows 7 connectivity issues over RDP due to NetWare being the primary login, there are a few possible solutions you can try to resolve this issue: 1. You can try adjusting the order of the authentication providers to ensure that NetWare is prioritized correctly. 3. Credential Manager: You can try using the Windows Credential Manager to save the credentials for accessing NetWare volumes. This way, even if NetWare is not the primary login provider, the credentials can still be automatically used for authentication. 4. Registry Changes: Making changes to the Windows registry might help in this situation. Modifying registry keys related to authentication settings or network protocols could potentially resolve the login issue. 5. Compatibility Mode: Running the RDP client or the Novell client software in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows may also help in resolving compatibility issues between NetWare and Windows 7. 6. Third-Party Tools: Consider using third-party tools or software that can facilitate better integration between Novell NetWare and Windows 7. These tools may provide additional features or workarounds for compatibility issues. By exploring these suggestions, you may find a solution that allows your clients to successfully log in to their systems with NetWare as the primary login even on Windows 7 machines. Remember to test each solution carefully to ensure it works correctly in your specific setup.
