Hello,

I'm having some unusual problems with java based program. I'm not sure if this is exactly java problem, but the problem I have is only on my laptop comupter.
The laptop I use is Emachine E510 and I'm running Windows 7. Now the problem with java program I use is " INFO client.q ] Connect call failed
WARNING connection.a ] DISCONNECTED : CONNECTION_PROBLEM" message.
I all ready contact the support from the company which use this software and their answer was that looks like their is a connecting problem from my computer to their server. Firewall problem on my side to be exactly.

I have tested the program on two different computer with the same firewall setting ( on or off ) and the program is running normally. So i guess the problem is going to be on my laptop. Here it gets tricky I have reinstall the OS, reinstall java, clean temporary internet files, tried everything I can think of but the problem is still the same. Everything is working normally under Windows XP.But on Vista or Windows 7 i get the same error and right after fresh installation with firewall on or off.

I don't know what else can I try. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this problem.

Thanks for your answers and help.

It seems like you're encountering connectivity issues with a Java-based program on your Emachine E510 laptop running Windows 7. The error message you provided suggests a connection problem between your computer and the server, specifically mentioning a potential firewall issue on your side. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Firewall Settings: - Ensure that the firewall settings on your Windows 7 laptop are not blocking the program from connecting to the server. You might need to add an exception for the program in your firewall settings. 2. Network Configuration: - Check if there are any network configurations on your Windows 7 laptop that might be causing the connection issue...

Network Configuration: - Check if there are any network configurations on your Windows 7 laptop that might be causing the connection issue. Make sure your network settings are correctly configured. 3. Proxy Settings: - Verify that there are no proxy settings configured on your laptop that could be affecting the program's ability to connect to the server. 4. Java Configuration: - Double-check the Java configuration on your laptop. Make sure that the Java version installed is compatible with the program you are trying to run. 5. Check for Updates: - Ensure that both your Windows 7 system and Java are up to date with the latest updates and patches. Outdated software can sometimes cause connectivity issues. 6. Third-Party Security Software: - If you have any third-party security software installed on your laptop, such as antivirus programs, check if they are interfering with the program's connection. Temporarily disable them for testing purposes. 7. Network Troubleshooting: - Perform network troubleshooting steps, like checking your network connection, pinging the server, or running network diagnostics to identify any potential issues. 8. Contact Support: - If the issue persists after trying these steps, consider reaching out to the software company's support team again. Provide them with details of the troubleshooting steps you've taken so far. It's essential to isolate the root cause of the connection problem by systematically checking each potential factor. If you continue to experience difficulties, detailed information about the program, network configuration, and any system logs/error messages can help in further diagnosing the issue.
