problems I have are my ctrl c and v aren't working. I've tried everything to fix it but nothing works. Second, my computer shuts down but fans stay running sometimes. Usually, after it's been idle for a long time, like in the morning when I get back on it. Usually, it reboots after it does this but sometimes it doesn't.

Solution
To troubleshoot the issue with your Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V keys not working and the fans running after shutdown, here are some steps you can take:

Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V Not Working:

  1. Check Keyboard Settings:
    • Ensure the physical keys are working correctly. Test in different applications to rule out software issues.
    • Try using an external keyboard to see if the issue persists.
    []Check Sticky Keys:
    • Disable Sticky Keys by pressing Shift five times to rule out any interference with key combinations.
    [
    ]Update Keyboard Drivers:
    • Go to Device Manager, locate your keyboard, right-click, and select "Update driver."
    • You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard...

    []Check for Viruses/Malware:
    • Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or third-party antivirus software to rule out the possibility of malware affecting your keyboard functions.

      Fans Running After Shutdown:

    [
    ]Update BIOS/UEFI:
    • Check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available for your motherboard. Updating BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues like fans running after shutdown.
    []Power/Shutdown Settings:
    • Check Windows Power Settings to see if there are any settings causing abnormal shutdown behavior.
    • Look for "Fast Startup" and disable it: Settings > System > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings > Choose what the power buttons do.
    [
    ]Check for Faulty Hardware:
    • Ensure the power supply is functioning correctly. Issues with the power supply can lead to fans running abnormally.
    • Check for loose connections or damaged components.
  2. Monitor Shutdown Process:
    • Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, click the power button in the bottom right, then press and hold Shift while clicking "Shutdown" to force a full shut down.

      Additional Steps:

      • Run Windows Troubleshooters for keyboard and power issues: Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
      • Review recent software changes or updates that might have led to these issues.
      • Check Event Viewer for any error logs related to shutdown issues.
If the problems persist after these steps, consider reaching out to a technician for further hardware diagnostics and repairs.
