Hello there! If you think that Microsoft did a real bad job with the whole Modern UI and other UI changes, you might find these links helpful!

Disable Lock Screen

Make sure you read the Application note at the top, before trying these. There are a mass of Hacks on Vishal's pages, but you must note if it is current or was used on earlier public releases.
I am a contributor to the site, and have tried several. But the unwary can have a disaster. the last, for example (Remove ribbon) can, according to your particular edition and setup, leave you with a black screen. have an image ready, before trying the hacks.
