Windows 10 Determine which PCs were originally Windows 10 - now with Windows 7

Hi - I work for a company that orders a lot of Dell PCs. We ordered many of them originally with with downgrades from Win 10 to Win 7 as some of our software was not yet Win 10 compatible. Now I'd like to begin upgrading those machines back to Win 10, but have lost the file as to which machines were Originally Win 10. Is there an easy way to determine the original OS on our Win 7 machines?

There is no way; however, any Windows 7 license should be usable for Windows 10. Of course if you're using MAK or KMS then it depends if you have Windows 10 licensing and you'll need to check on the volume licensing site.

I have put Windows 10 on computers that didn't do the free update before that deadline, back when.

Each time under system info, it showed it as> windows activated. Even on older laptops.

Microsoft is being quite liberal as to accepting computers and giving them a activated licence .
