Hello everyone,
I want to disable thumbnail previews on my desktop, but leave them on for the other folders, for example the pictures folder. I only found an option to disable thumbnails system-wide, so how do I do it just for my desktop?

Thank you

To disable thumbnail previews specifically on your desktop without affecting other folders like the Pictures folder, you can adjust certain settings. Here's how you can achieve this:

Steps to Disable Thumbnail Previews on Desktop Only:

  1. Access Folder Options:
    • Right-click on an empty area on your desktop.
    • Select "Personalize" from the context menu.
    • In the Personalization window, click on "Themes" in the left sidebar.
    • Scroll down and click on "Desktop icon settings" on the right side of the window.
    []Select Desktop Properties:
    • In the Desktop Icon Settings window, you will see a list of icons like This PC, Network, Control Panel, etc.
