Windows 7 Dns Server Issue

Hi I am having the same type of issue as the "DNS server not responding thread". I tried looking at some of the different issues and trying to figure it out for myself but I didn't want to change something and make it worse.Right now I have internet access but it is extremely slow compared to what I normally receive. Yesterday Hydro shut the power off to do maintenance. and now I receive this error message (Your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (DNS) is not responding.) Any help would be greatly appreciated!
