I bought a new computer about 3-4 weeks a go. I got a ASUS PCE-N10 wireless local are network card and plugged it in. For the first 2 weeks it performed fine with no problems. recently however, i have been getting a DNS server look up fail error. Ill be able to go on the internet and use it, but every 5 minutes or so this will happen. The longer I use the internet the worse it gets. Any ideas?

    ]Change DNS Servers:
    • Try using alternative DNS servers such as Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). Changing DNS servers can sometimes resolve DNS lookup issues.
    []Flush DNS Cache:
    • Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command:
      Code:
       ipconfig /flushdns
    [
    ]Reset TCP/IP Stack:
    • In the Command Prompt as an administrator, run the following commands one by one:
      Code:
netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset
    []Check for Interference:
    • Ensure that there are no physical obstructions or sources of interference near your computer that could disrupt the wireless signal.
    [
    ]Check Network Settings:
    • Verify that your network settings are correct, including the IP address configuration and DNS settings. Make sure they are set to obtain automatically if you are not using static settings.
    []Disable Power Saving:
    • Check the power-saving settings for the wireless adapter in Device Manager and disable any power-saving features that may be causing interruptions.
    [
    ]Run Network Troubleshooter:
    • Use the built-in Windows Network Troubleshooter to diagnose and fix common network issues.

      Additional Tips:

    • Keep Software Updated:
    • Ensure that your operating system, router firmware, and any security software are up to date.
    • Scan for Malware:
    • Run a full system scan with a reputable antivirus program to rule out malware as a cause of network problems. Try these steps sequentially and see if any of them help in resolving the DNS server lookup fail error with your ASUS PCE-N10 wireless network card. If the issue persists, further troubleshooting may be required. Let me know if you need more assistance or if you have any other questions!
