If you downloaded a retail version of Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store site I need to know if it worked like when I downloaded the Beta version of Windows 7. Specifically, you order and then get an email that directs you to a download page on the internet.

The reason I ask is that I live in Mexico and can't download with my Mexican ISP. I had the same problem with getting the Beta. I got the email through a friend's server in the U.S. and the email had a link for downloading that worked fine. I'm hoping it's the same for the retail but don't want to risk the money if I'm wrong.

When downloading a retail version of Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store, the process is different from downloading the Beta version. For the retail version: 1. Purchase: You would typically purchase a digital license for Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store. 2. Email Confirmation: After the purchase, you should receive an email confirmation with details of your purchase, including the license key. 3. Download Page: The email may include a link or instructions on how to access the download page. This page is where you can download the Windows 7 installation files. 4. Downloading: You would then proceed to download the Windows 7 installation files from the provided link. Since you mentioned having issues downloading...

Since you mentioned having issues downloading with your Mexican ISP previously, it might be a good idea to consider the following: - Using a VPN: If your ISP is restricting access to certain websites or services, using a VPN may help bypass these restrictions. - Contacting Support: You can also reach out to Microsoft Support to inquire about alternative methods for downloading Windows 7 given your location limitations. Given that your previous experience with the Beta version involved using a friend's server in the U.S., you may need to explore similar options for the retail version if your ISP continues to pose challenges. If you decide to proceed with purchasing Windows 7, ensure that you have a reliable method for downloading the files, considering your ISP constraints in Mexico.
