Hi I am running W7 64 Pro on a Ati HD 5750 GFx card my Dual displays (Dell SP2309W) are both connected with DVI.
All latest drivers are installed.
My issue is with the power-saving: when ever my displays are going to turn off automatically only one of my displays go to standby and the other just turns black. I can see the difference in the back light and the fact that the power button is still in active mode.

I'm not sure that it is entirely due to Dual displays though as I was running prime95 on my pc the other day i had it hooked up to another screen (only one monitor) and the standby led on the screen didn't change when it went black.

I don't like the fact that my screens don't turn themselves on standby as my computer uses enough power as it is.
Thanks

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your dual displays connected to your ATI HD 5750 graphics card on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. When your displays are set to turn off automatically, one of them goes to standby mode while the other just turns black, with its power button still active. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Monitor Settings: - Check the power settings on each monitor individually to ensure that they are set to go into standby mode at the same time. - Verify that the power-saving settings on the displays match the settings in your operating system. 2. Graphics Card Driver: - Make sure that you have the latest drivers installed for your ATI HD...

Graphics Card Driver: - Make sure that you have the latest drivers installed for your ATI HD 5750 graphics card. Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with power management and display behavior. 3. Windows Power Settings: - Check the power settings in Windows: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize." - Click on "Screen Saver" and then "Change power settings." - Review the settings under "Turn off the display" and adjust them accordingly for both monitors. 4. Monitor Firmware Update: - Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Dell SP2309W monitors. Sometimes firmware updates can address power management issues. 5. Graphics Card Configuration: - In the AMD Catalyst Control Center (if available for your graphics card), check for any settings related to dual displays and power management. Ensure that both displays are configured correctly. 6. Testing with Single Monitor: - Disconnect one of the monitors and test each monitor individually to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is related to the configuration of dual displays. 7. Power Consumption Monitoring: - Consider using software to monitor power consumption on your system to identify any outlier behavior when the displays go into standby mode. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue with your dual displays not going into standby mode properly. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
