Running Win7 Ultimate 64-bit. This may be the first time I've tried burning under the purchased version, had no problems in the RC7. I Get an error message "There was an error burning to disc. The disc may be unsuable". I've tried using several new discs. I searched the internet, and made sure there were no files with a "$" in the extension as suggested. I've even tried just one file. I have both a Pioneer BluRay and an LG DVD-RW. Same problem on both.

Tom, it sounds like you're encountering an issue with burning discs on your Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit system. The error message you're seeing indicates that there was an error burning to the disc, and it suggests that the disc may be unusable. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue: 1. Update Drivers: Ensure that the drivers for your Pioneer BluRay and LG DVD-RW drives are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with burning discs. 2. Check Disc Format: Make sure that you're using the correct disc format supported by your drives. For example, if you're trying to burn a Blu-ray disc, ensure that you're using a blank Blu-ray disc and not a DVD. 3. Check Disc Integrity...

For example, if you're trying to burn a Blu-ray disc, ensure that you're using a blank Blu-ray disc and not a DVD. 3. Check Disc Integrity: Sometimes, the issue could be with the quality or integrity of the blank discs. Try using a different brand or batch of blank discs to see if the problem persists. 4. Software Issues: If you're using built-in Windows burning software, you could try using third-party burning software like ImgBurn or CDBurnerXP to see if the issue is specific to the software you're using. 5. Test with Different Disc Types: Try burning different types of files (e.g., data, audio, video) to see if the issue occurs with specific types of files. 6. Check System Integrity: Run a system file checker scan to check for any corrupt system files that could be causing the issue. To do this, open a Command Prompt with administrative privileges and run the command sfc /scannow. 7. Check Event Viewer: Check the Event Viewer for any specific error messages related to the disc burning process. This can provide more detailed information about what might be going wrong. Try these steps and see if any of them help resolve the issue. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details, and we can explore further solutions.
