------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My laptop is just a few months old and this is the first BSOD that I know of. :frown: I had my laptop on sleep overnight and when I attempted to open it this morning, it prompted me to log in again which I found odd.

I ran CPU-Z along with WhoCrashed and included the Minidump file in the attached folder. I tried running SF Diagnostic Tools but kept getting an error message. Can someone please help me analyze these files and make some recommendations as to what to do so I don't experience another BSOD in the future? Thank you!

Additional system specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Model: Sony Vaio
Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M
RAM: 4.00 GB
System: 64-bit OS
Kaspersky Internet Security

It seems like you encountered a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on your Windows 7 laptop. The error report you provided has some useful information that can help diagnose the issue. The BCCode 1000009f typically indicates a problem related to the power management features of the operating system. Here are the steps you can take to analyze the issue and prevent future occurrences: 1. Analysis Tools: - You mentioned running CPU-Z and WhoCrashed and provided a Minidump file for analysis. These tools can help identify the potential cause of the BSOD by analyzing the crash dump files. 2. Minidump Analysis: - The Minidump file located at C:\Windows\Minidump\041112-35193-01.dmp contains crucial information about the crash...

Minidump Analysis: - The Minidump file located at C:\Windows\Minidump\041112-35193-01.dmp contains crucial information about the crash. Analyzing this file can provide more insight into the specific driver or component that caused the issue. 3. WhoCrashed Analysis: - WhoCrashed is a good tool for analyzing crash dump files. It should provide you with a summary of the crash and potentially point to the driver or service that triggered the BSOD. 4. Steps to Prevent Future BSODs: - Ensure all your device drivers are up to date, especially graphics, chipset, network, and audio drivers. - Check for any recent software or hardware changes that might have triggered the BSOD. - Run a complete scan of your system using Kaspersky Internet Security to rule out any malware issues. - Check the Windows Event Viewer for any related error messages that might give more clues about the cause of the crash. 5. Additional Checks: - Check the Windows power settings to ensure they are configured correctly. - Verify that your system's cooling is adequate and not causing any overheating issues. Since you mentioned having trouble running SF Diagnostic Tools, I recommend focusing on the analysis of the Minidump file and the WhoCrashed report for now. If you encounter any specific error messages or details from the analysis, feel free to share them for further assistance.
