Windows 10 Frequent Forced Restarts

Two or three times a day, my computer may randomly display a blue screen with a sad face, saying that it must restart. It gives a few different errors.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Maybe one or two more, but I don't recall them.

I only ever experienced these recently after installing more RAM.

My current hardware is;
Asus M3N78-VM DDR2 Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz Processor
Nvidia Geforce GTX 650

RAM before;
4GB DDR2 (4x1GB)

RAM after;
8GB DDR2 (4x2GB)


Any ideas how I can fix this?

Hi

You could try running a memory test and see if there is a problem with the new ram you put in.

Windows Key + R

Type mdsched.exe

Select Restart now and check for problems.

Close open programs before you do this.
It could take a while to finish running the test.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

I tried that, and it said that no errors were found.

It's still restarting like usual.
Another error message occurred today saying "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION"
The screen looks like this when it restarts, just with a different error.

I tried to attach the Zip file however it told me the file size was too large.

Any ways I can attach a link to a download perhaps?

Hi

Try removing the new ram temporarily and see if the problem stops.
That still seems like the most likely problem, since it started when you put it in.

You could just paste the dump file in here as text I suppose.

There are 30 different dump files, how do I post them as text?
I presume the fact that there are multiple ones is bad?

If you get a mini dump file (my computer didn't show one, though it's set up as described above. I guess that's because I haven't had any blue screens.) open it in any word processor program Note Pad whatever, and then copy and paste it in here.

The "System Event file" on my computer had over 10,000 pages so don't just try and paste in any file you have.

As Nemobeer said, you'll have to wait until you have a new blue screen and then paste in the mini dump file that it generates.

Did you try taking out the new ram sticks and see if that's the problem?
I've seen people get ram sticks that just didn't work with there computer before.
