Windows 7 Getting BSOD constantly after pc startup

Hello,

I get constantly a BSOD after PC startup. I did not install new drivers or something in the last days.
Could you please look at my dump files and specify my error?

One crashdump says that Windows registry is potentially corrupted, whereas the other one says there was a problem pushing data on disk to the RAM because the device it was trying to pull from spontaneously disappeared (c000000e - Device specified does not exist). This means there's a problem with the disk-to-memory crosstalk. Either the drive itself is bad (most likely), there's a cabling issue, or there's a problem with your motherboard or RAM.

if you want, start by doing a CHKDSK /R followed by an SFC /SCANNOW. This will ensure that this isn't just a problem with the filesystem that can be corrected.

Next thing to do is to check cabling on your drive. Reconnect both ends on your data and power cables to the drive(s). Use another SATA data cable as well if you have any extras available.

Next thing to do is to do some hardware checks. I recommend starting with an overnight run of Memtest .

Btw, it goes without saying that if your system is overclocked in any way, reset it to safe factory defaults. Also make sure your BIOS is updated (I see it's dated 9/21/2010), and if you have an SSD, download any existing firmware update for it. Both of those can most certainly cause problems, especially the SSD firmware if it isn't updated.

Lastly, for now, can you provide detailed system specs?

This all will be good to start with for now. We'll see how this progresses.

Analysts:

The c000000e error is discovered in raw thread stack of faulting thread, which in turn caused c0000006 errors. Now, I also saw c000005 (memory could not be read/written). This may be caused by a memory corruption which altered the device object address and could in turn cause the c000000e error. We'll see where that goes.

While running CHKDSK I got a BSOD aswell.
Checked and switched cables -> same Error.

Formatted that SSD and tried to reinstall Windows -> Error while installing

Switched SSD and it is running some hours now.

Have you ran firmware update for the SSD? What brand/model is it? Updating firmware should be the first thing done for any SSD purchased, as often they have controller bugs that can cause massive instability issues. BIOS updates also are necessary for the same reason.

I have not updated it. But the SSD was runnung nearly 3 years without problems. So I doubt that is an firmware issue.

There may be changes to drivers or to Windows that could conflict with the SSD, so I still highly recommend you give it a look anyways just in case, as it may end up saving you money if it is the problem. If it doesn't fix it, you can consider replacing the drive.

Btw, do you have Samsung's Magician software installed, and have you looked at it? SSDs are a particular kind of drive, and Windows 7 by default has settings on it that loves to chew up an SSD's lifespan that are rather normal operations for a regular HDD (e.g. scheduled defrag; page file usage). There are also some firmware bugs on SSD's than can greatly reduce their lifespan and perhaps by not having updating yours that it's been suffering from one of such bugs. Firmware update and settings changes for Windows 7 are all done through the Magician software easily, so make sure to use it. I'm normally not one to recommend software that comes with hardware outside of device drivers, as they can often be gimmicky, but the Magician is one of the few exceptions.
