Windows 7 Had BSOD but cannot follow your instructions

A day ago I had the BSOD, but my Win7 64-bit cptr was set to wait a few seconds and then start automatically, so I didn't get to see any error msgs and it booted into a temp profile, which I didn't realize and I thought I had lost all system reset points and almost everything else. I overlooked that I needed to try to reboot and wasted a day of my life trying to restore missing icons, etc.

Today I found your forum and tried to run some suggested diagnostics including PCHelpBoost and W7F Diagnostics, both of which failed because they apparently couldn't get internet explorer to run for whatever reason (I never use iexplorer but I think it works). Every link that I hover near seems to be a popup scam that tries to get me to check my credit rating or sell me viagra or whatever. I ran Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Eusing, Search and Destroy a few days ago, before the crash and thought my cptr was in good shape. I use MSE as my main line of defense against viruses, etc.

I am slightly suspicious that even the things that I have been directed to start with on your site like W7F Diagnostics and PCHelpBoost are popup scams as well since I am being bombarded with so many of these scams. Pls send me a short 123 on how to get started on this project. Maybe the first thing I need to do is load iexplorer and try to get it to run so I can get your diagnostics to run, but I am wary of trying anything right now because all seems to be no more than spinning my wheels into a deeper rut.

I suggest that you first seek help from a malware removal expert.
I don't see a malware removal forum here at Windows7Forums, so I'll suggest another here: Malware Removal Posting Instructions

Register and then follow the instructions there. The security team there will help clean the system up.
If the BSOD's continue after the system is cleaned, feel free to post back here to see if we can fix it then.

Good luck!
