Windows 7 Hard Disk Partition Not Showing On My Computer

I have Dell Inspiron 580s, which is 5 months old. I recovered the factory setting using the recovery CD i had created after the purchase. Now i am only able to see the C drive which has the OS and other partition (which has the data which I don't want to lose) is not shown. When I go to disk management, the partition is seen there. Also, when I try to give it an alphabetical identification I get an error "Parameter is Incorrect". I know that I can format the drive and rename it, but is there a way that I can recover the data from the drive.

Also, when I go to dell datasafe online site and try and recover some data, it shows that my computer is not online, while I am accessing the net from the same computer.


Please, please please, somebody please help me.
 
Solution
In disk management, is the partition you see the correct size. and not a special partition of some type? What does the partition say about its configuration?

Did you have the same partition setup when you made the recovery media?
