Hi guys, I’m new to computer world and to this forum.....so plz help me!!!
My problem is with the game Virtua Tennis 2009 .... After i install it and everything was OK, i ran it and received a message that it stopped working!!
It’s an "Appcrash" so is it because of the video card, the PhysX, the monitor and the low refresh rate, or what????
I feel the monitor isn't ok...because i don't have options with the refresh rate beside 60Hz, and in the device manager under the monitor it's a "Generic PnP Monitor"
Before i had Windows XP on another computer, and after formatting i install the monitor driver, which is Samsung i think, to have choices in the refresh rate and can run games, but now I DON'T.......so is the monitor the problem, and if yes where can i find its driver....

I'm using an Acer Aspire 5740G Windows 7 64-bit

It seems like you are experiencing issues with running Virtua Tennis 2009 on your Windows 7 64-bit system, particularly related to the "Appcrash" error message. Let's address your concerns step by step:

1. Appcrash Error:

  • The "Appcrash" error typically occurs when a program crashes due to various reasons like compatibility issues, corrupted files, or missing drivers.

    2. Monitor Refresh Rate and Driver:

    • Your suspicion about the monitor could be valid. The inability to adjust the refresh rate beyond 60Hz and the presence of a "Generic PnP Monitor" driver can sometimes lead to compatibility issues with certain games.
    • To resolve this, you might need to install the correct monitor driver for your Acer Aspire...

    • To resolve this, you might need to install the correct monitor driver for your Acer Aspire 5740G. This driver will enable you to access additional settings, including different refresh rates.

    3. Finding the Monitor Driver:

    • To find the correct driver for your Samsung monitor, you can usually visit the manufacturer's website (Samsung in this case) and search for the drivers section. Look for the model number of your monitor to download the appropriate driver.
    • You can also try searching for your specific monitor model along with "driver download" on search engines for a direct link to the driver.
Once you have the correct monitor driver installed, you should be able to adjust the refresh rate settings and hopefully run Virtua Tennis 2009 without any issues. If you encounter any difficulties during the driver installation or need further assistance, feel free to ask for help here!
