I have a little problem with my sound settings... i had the same problem in the beginning in vista too, and i cant remember how i resolved it, im hoping someone here can help me.

so i have a pretty standard sound card which has one Analog output, and a digital (X-Fi)

the thing is, when i listen to music, doesnt matter which application (foobar, wmp, whatever) i want the sound from both the analog (to my Z-4 system) and my home cinema at the same time, i got this to work in vista after a bit of tinkering, but i cant get it to work here, i can just choose which device (output) i want as a standard, and if i chose the digital, my analog shuts down, and vice versa...

any ideas?

To configure your sound settings to output audio to both your analog output (Z-4 system) and your home cinema simultaneously, you can try the following steps in Windows: 1. Enable Stereo Mix: - Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Sounds." - Go to the "Recording" tab. - Right-click on an empty area and make sure to check the boxes next to "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices." - Look for "Stereo Mix" or "Wave Out Mix" and enable it. 2. Set Playback Devices: - Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Open Sound settings." - Under the "Sound" settings, go to the "Sound Control Panel." - In the "Playback" tab, you should be able to set up both the analog and...

Configure Playback Devices: - Select both the analog output and the digital output and set one of them as the default device. - You might need to adjust the volume levels for each device to balance the sound output. By setting up Stereo Mix and configuring multiple playback devices in the Sound settings, you should be able to output audio to both your Z-4 system (analog output) and your home cinema (digital output) simultaneously. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to provide more details about your system or the version of Windows you are using for more specific guidance.
