I recently did a clean install of my system. I had previously used the Family Pack key 3 times on 3 separate computers. I did the clean install on one of those three computers but now it won't recognize the key, even though it is legit. Is this a known issue? and is there a way to fix it?

I am not familiar with the Family Pack rules, but is it an upgrade, and did you install using the custom install process over a prior install?
Did you wait to enter the key until later, after the install was complete?
Were you given the option to phone home to activate?
