Windows 7 Help With Windows Media Player

Hello guys. I need some help with WMP in Windows 7. I can't for the life of me figure out how to delete files from my library. WMP recognizes that the files are no longer in the original location, I try to delete them in various ways - e.g., select them all and hit delete, right-click and hit delete, "sync" the library, etc - but to no avail.

How can I get it to delete files from the library that are not there anymore?

Also, I deleted the sample music by mistake. Can someone tell me how I can get these back? (No, they are not in my recycle bin).

You can do a system restore back intime before you delete those files and it may bring them back.

I just tried deleting a song from my music library and poof it was gone. So I don't know what to tell you about that.

I had just installed Windows 7 at that point, so I just did a clean install. I'll see if the problem happens again, but I'm not gonna try and induce it. Hopefully it was a one-off thing.
