More specifically I want to play the original diablo over a LAN connection. Problem being IPX is no longer supported.

My computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium as title states. This apparently is one of the only Windows 7 editions that cannot run a Virtual PC Windows XP mode so i'm out of good ideas.

The other computer is using windows xp, i have manually installed an ipx protocol.

Does microsoft have any possible fixes? I'd rather not download shady software such as IPX emulators if it can be avoided.

Diablo 2 support TCPIP if thats a alternative option
