Windows 8 How do you get rid of the excess stuff in the video app?

Hi

When I hit on a video link and it opens in the video app, it has a play button in the middle and a lot of other stuff like a progress bar on the scree.

These don't disappear when the video is playing.

How do you get it to just show the video full screen without all the stuff on top of it?

On another note, has anyone figured out a way to make screen shots in the apps?

For instance I wanted to make a screen shot to show what I'm talking about, also I wanted to make a screen shot of the Start Screen, but you can't do it with Snipping Tool.

I haven't been able to make Fraps work in Windows 8 either.

It will work in games but it won't take images or video of the Windows 8 interface.

Hi

Ok, I figured it out.

It goes away on it's own, it just takes a while.
The problem is that my videos are short and I'm half way through before the stuff goes away.

There should be a way to run the video from the start without having half of it covered with giant graphics.

Mike,

Run them in Media Player, instead or Media Centre. No obligation to use the Video App.

Hi Drew

I do use media player normaly but I might use the app if it didn't obscure half of the video!
