Windows 10 How to close the auto-update?

I didnt close it and yusterday it reminded me that it would restart at 20:00, and I was busy and was editing something . So I searched the solution and closed the updata. But at 20:00 it still RESTART and UPDATE！！ After that I checked the setting again, it did close! What happened ? ?

Hi,
personally I always apply the update straight away although I know that this isn't always feasible especially if your working.

Microsoft have unfortunately taken away many of the options you could use for Windows Update, you could however set the machine to only download updates in a certain timeframe.

If you open settings (via start menu) then look for 'change Active hours', click that.


You can see from the screenshot above that you can set the times in which Windows will update so you might be able to avoid the worst of it (although they are very important).
