Here’s how to connect a website to a Bluetooth or USB device in Microsoft Edge, according to official Microsoft Support:

  • Connect your device:
  • Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for your computer and the device you want to use is on and discoverable.
  • USB: Ensure your device is on and physically connected via USB cable.
  • Open Microsoft Edge and visit the website that you want to connect to your device.
  • Interact with the page (click or tap). You’ll be prompted to add a device.
  • Select your device from the list shown.
  • Click or tap "Pair" or "Connect".
⚠️ Security Note: Only allow trusted websites to access your device. Allowing access gives the website full access to the device's data and can let someone control or reprogram the device.

Troubleshooting​

  • If your device isn’t found, click Search again.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on (see instructions below) if your device still doesn’t appear.

How to Turn On Bluetooth​

Windows 11​

  • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > make sure Bluetooth is on.

Windows 10​

  • Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > make sure Bluetooth is on.

macOS​

  • Click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar, and select Turn Bluetooth On.

How to Disconnect Devices​

  • Bluetooth: On the web page in Edge, click the Refresh icon to disconnect.
  • USB: In the address bar, click the View site information icon (the lock/info icon), find your device in the drop-down, and select X (Remove) to disconnect.
