Hello,

I have Windows 7 on Dell. How do I get it to log out automatically after, say, 5 minutes if it was not used?

Thanks a lot,

Boris

To set up your Windows 7 computer to automatically log out after a period of inactivity, you can adjust the screensaver settings. Here's how you can do it: 1. Access Screen Saver Settings: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize." - In the Personalization window, click on "Screen Saver" located at the bottom-right corner. 2. Configure Screen Saver and Password: - In the Screen Saver Settings window, check the box for "On resume, display logon screen." - Set the "Wait" time to 5 minutes or your preferred duration. - Click on "Apply" and then "OK." 3. Automatically Log Out: - Go to the Start menu and click on "Control Panel." - Select "Power Options" and then choose "Require a password on wakeup" from the...

By configuring these settings, your Windows 7 machine will lock after the specified time of inactivity, requiring a password to log back in. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!
