Windows 7 How to keep a shared printer on a homegroup network connected?

Is it possible to have your laptop re-connect to a shared printer once the homegroup network connection has been re-established? For example, my laptop is with me on the road and connects to other networks. When I return home, my computer recognizes and automatically re-connects to the homegroup network. However, I then have the task of going to the control panel>device and printers>add printer to set-up the printer including the drivers and printing preferences every time.

Any help would be appreciated.
