Im having some trouble with ventrilo. What do i need to do so my mic is not going thru my headphones. ventrilo recognizes my sound but i hear myself as well as everyone esle when i talk.

Solution
Go to you "Sound" control panel.
Select your headphones/speakers and click on Properties.
On the "Levels" tab you can mute the microphone so that you cannot hear the micrphone through the speakers/headphones.

You should (at least it works for me) still be able to set your recording level on the micrphone on the recording tab of the "Sound" control panel.

Hope that helps.
