In newer versions of Windows, such as Windows 10 and Windows 11, the ability to manually rearrange photos by dragging and dropping them within a folder like you could in Windows XP is not natively supported. However, there are some workarounds and alternatives you can use to organize your photos in the desired order:
  1. Renaming the Photos: You can rename the photos in the order you want them to appear. For example, you can add numbers at the beginning of each file name (e.g., 01_photo.jpg, 02_photo.jpg, etc.).

[]Third-Party Software: There are third-party file managers and photo management software available that offer more advanced sorting and arranging options for photos. []Creating Albums or Slideshows: Another way to organize your photos is to create albums or slideshows within a photo management app or software.
  3. Batch Renaming Tools: You can use batch renaming tools to rename multiple files in a sequence easily. While these methods may not provide the exact drag-and-drop functionality you are looking for, they offer alternatives to help you organize your photos effectively in Windows.
