R ruggb Extraordinary Member Joined Jan 14, 2009 Mar 6, 2009 #3 I think I got it. A little more involved than XP, but I set the workgroup to the right name and set up all the sharing in W7. I think it is just the workgroup name - though it doesn't seem to matter in XP thx
