how to upgrade Windows Server from 2008r2 to 2019 which is running AD and HyperV

Hi,

I want to upgrade Windows Server from 2008r2 to 2019 which are running AD and Hyper-V. On Hyper-V, again i have 2008r2 configured File Server. Should i first upgrade Server which are running AD and Hyper-V?. If so, please let me know whether 2008r2 running on Hyper-V will not affected so that subsequently i will upgrade this to 2019.

Thanks for your reply. I will do as suggested by you. But, i want know whether Hyper-V will be migrated seamlessly?.

I've never tried. If the upgrade process doesn't bark at you then it should otherwise it will tell you it can't proceed.
