Hello, my name is Ethan!
Every since I have owned my computer it has had a problem with blue screens. Every 5 and a half to 6 and a half hours the computer will start to show symptoms. Some of the symptoms are things like Google Chrome giving me the "Aw, Snap" or "He's Dead Jim" screens. Some other symptoms I have noticed is that when I am playing a game, it will suddenly begin to get artifacting (Duplicating textures, low res textures, the sky turning rainbow) and then the game will crash. Shortly after these events the blue screen will happen. I have tried Mem-Test, updating hard drive firmware, wiping graphics drivers and re-installing them, every function of Check Disk, and even taking it to a so called "expert" who did almost nothing. None of the above worked. Certain things make me think that it is Direct X or Active X but I could be very wrong
Here are my specs...
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 2.67GHz
Memory: 11.99GB DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 PC3-10600
Graphics: NVIDIA GeFroce GTX 570 x2
Mobo: ASUS Rampage II Gene
I will attach full Direct X Diagnostics document along with every Mini Dump file, If you need anymore information please just ask!

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis: http://windows7forums.com/blue-screen-death-bsod/38837-how-ask-help-bsod-problem.html

I ran the last 26 memory dumps as I feel this is an adequate sized sample.

Out of 26 memory dumps there were 8 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

The 2005 version of ASACPI.sys (the Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility driver) is known to cause BSOD's on Windows systems. Please update to the 2009 version available at the Asus support website for your mobo. If unable to find it, please post back with the make/model of your mobo so we can research it.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

hamachi.sys Thu Feb 19 05:36:41 2009 (499D3639)
LogMeIn Hamachi Virtual network interface driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=hamachi.sys

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

The drivers for the Microsoft Kinect Audio Control aren't installed. Please install the latest, Win7 compatible drivers.
If you can't find compatible drivers, then remove the device from the system temporarily (until the system is stabilized).

Kaspersky dates from 2009, please update it to the most recent version. If unable to update it, please un-install it and use one of these free anti-viruses temporarily (while testing). Be sure that the Windows Firewall is enabled after removing Kaspersky.

Out of 4 memory dumps there were 4 different BSOD error codes.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

Another crash dump...

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81653294/071713-28938-01.dmp

Since the last post I have removed hamachi, I would update my BIOS but when I download the updated version it gives me a ROM file that I am not sure what to do with. I don't feel confident with manually updating my BIOS because I don't want to render my computer un-bootable. The problem with these blue screens happened before I used my Kinect. The driver install with my Kinect are third-party and are not compatible with the recommended drivers. I cannot remember if I had Kespersky when the problems began but it worst comes to worst I will remove it.

If you don't feel confident flashing your BIOS, let's just leave that alone for now.

You can always remove the Kaspersky and try a free anti-virus (make sure that the Windows Firewall is enabled after removing it). Then, if you'd like, you can reinstall the Kaspersky after the system is stabilized.

Please remember to run the hardware diagnostics ( Hardware Diagnostics ) as this is looking more and more like a hardware problem.

This BSOD was a STOP 0x116 (video). Although hardware is suspected, it's best to check all errors out fully. Start with these troubleshooting steps for STOP 0x116: Video TDR Timeout - 0x116 + 0x117 - Sysnative Forums

There are video stress tests listed here: Hardware Diagnostics

Kaspersky still dates from 2009 - please remove it.

Looking like a low-level problem to me, here's my canned speech on these:
Out of 6 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD error codes.
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html or http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Wow...

I ran the FurMark GPU test and that made me scared. GPU 2 stayed at a steady 40 degrees Celsius while GPU 1 got hotter and hotter and hotter until it hit 89 degrees so I immediately turned it off. I am expecting this is bad and from what I am guessing you are about to say is that one of my video card is failing.

Now that I look at it my computer is actually running at 97 degrees Celsius, I feel like this is super bad...

IMO anything over 90ºC is bad - and yes, 97ºC is super bad! Shut the system down and investigate the cooling solution (fans working, dirt/dust in the coolers, good airflow, thermal past between the chip and cooler, etc)

Point a house fan (on HIGH) into the open case and see if that helps.

Here's a list of generic temperature suggestions:
Normally temps shouldn't exceed:
CPU - 60ºC
GPU - 80ºC
HDD and other components - 40ºC

I'm not real familiar w/dual GPU systems, but several folks that I've seen here have troubleshot their systems by removing one of the GPU's. If it doesn't fix the problem, then swap for the other GPU.

Is it ntoskrnl.sys or ntoskrnl.exe? If .sys, then I suspect an infection. If .exe, then that's the kernel (core) of the OS. If it's having problems you'd see more than the occasional BSOD - so we must look deeper to try and figure this out.

Is the system still running hot? If so, there's no need to troubleshoot anything until you fix the temperature problem.

I have suggested that you update your Kaspersky, but that hasn't been done.

Please remove the LogMeIn Hamachi program from your system as it dates from 2009.

Please run these free hardware diagnostics AFTER the temperature problems are fixed: http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Oh, my bad, it is ntoskrnl.exe not .sys. The heating problem has been fixed. I took out the over heating GPU and the SLI peice. Kespersky is gone, and just uninstalled hamachi (sorry I keep installing it I use it frequently). I will get back to you with some hardware diagnostics.
