A team collaborates around a holographic interface highlighting AI, IBM, Microsoft cloud, and cybersecurity.

IBM has recently announced the establishment of a dedicated Microsoft Practice, aiming to enhance collaboration between the two tech giants in the realms of artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and security. This initiative is set to leverage the combined expertise of over 33,000 Microsoft-certified professionals from IBM to develop industry-specific solutions across sectors such as retail, consumer packaged goods, government, financial services, and supply chain management.
The new practice builds upon existing offerings like IBM Copilot Runway and IBM Consulting Azure OpenAI Services, both powered by Microsoft Azure and Copilot. Additionally, it introduces integrations with Microsoft's suite of tools, including Copilot, Azure, OpenAI, Azure Cloud, Fabric, and Sentinel. These integrations are designed to streamline processes for business leaders, aiming to drive growth, reduce costs, and establish a sustainable competitive advantage.
Nicole Dezen, Chief Partner Officer at Microsoft, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating that it unites experts to deliver tailored solutions that will drive innovation and operational excellence, helping businesses unlock new growth opportunities and accelerate business transformation.
IBM's commitment to this partnership is evident in its track record, having delivered over 14,000 Microsoft projects globally and maintaining more than 30 offerings running on Azure. Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting, emphasized the importance of this dedicated practice in driving meaningful business outcomes for clients.
This strategic move underscores the deepening alliance between IBM and Microsoft, reflecting a shared vision to empower customers through advanced cloud and AI technologies.
