Windows 7 in need of a program

Hi i need to know if some of you in here knows of a little program that can monitor your pc.
i need this because in the past my computer have been opening IE by itself and gone to different sites like as commercials

i suspect that i might have gotten some bad stuff on my pc and i wanted to see if there were a program that could find the origin of this IE popping up

P.s. my avg free didnt find anything

I would suggest maybe uninstalling AVG and going with Microsoft Security Essential, it has a somewhat smaller foot print overall and seems to do a pretty good job. Also there's a program call ThreatFire which a lot of people seem to like, the choice of course is up to you
