Windows Vista Installing Windows 7 on Vista

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and i don't know if thIs thread is placed in the right category.

I've got a question.
Can i install a torrented Windows 7 ISO to my Windows Vista laptop? If yes, how?
I'd like to have Windows 7 on my laptop.

Depends to start with on where you got the torrent from and whether you have a valid serial number
